Audlem
A short 2 night cruise from Swanley Bridge Marina is the village of Audlem. Often described as a friendly village, Audlem is home to 3 pubs, The Shroppie Fly, which is located on the side of the canal, The Bridge Inn, which is also located a few minutes away on the side of the canal and The Lord Combermere, nestled right in the centre of Audlem.
There are shops selling local food and plenty of places to eat within the centre of the village, making Audlem a great place to spend a few nights.
When you arrive in Audlem you will pass the Audlem Mill. Built over 100 years ago the mill was run as corn and animal feed mill until 1960, when it was converted into a shop and accommodation. Now the mill has a dual purpose, it is a shop run by its new owners and the Canal and River trust use it as a hub for canal maintenance purposes.
The route from Swanley Bridge Marina takes you straight through Nantwich, another great location and must see, local market town.
