I have just sold an Aqualine Madison narrowboat to a couple who live in Thailand. The sale demonstrates very well my policy of never dismissing out of hand where exactly your customers could be. I sell boats to clients in the U.S, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Europe and of course the U.K. Even with the uncertainty of Brexit, this uncertainty is not reflected in boat sales to clients in the U.K Europe and farther afield at the present time. It will be interesting to see how this pans out in the future. For purchasers abroad it can prove difficult for some to actually view a vessel of interest in the flesh, so to speak, so it is imperative that they have complete faith in our professionalism, integrity and transparency. For us this is vital and something we endeavour to achieve every day, for a good reputation is priceless. A good reputation hard earned over time and one that can be lost in the blink of an eye. For these clients it is invaluable that the boats they see on their computers and ipads and the printed media, reflect accurately the actual condition of the vessel. This policy is something I take very seriously and something that gives my clients and potential clients absolute confidence and trust in me.
