A considerable number of volunteers gathered for a celebration lunch arranged by CRT.Regional Waterway Manager Wendy Capelle presented some new national awards in thanks of many hours of service.Paul Mills, leader of STTV received a Silver Award!
On the 28th January we were back at Burland.The main task for the day was to spread and compact 55 tonnes of stone to make a more sophisticated and mud less area for vehicles
.
This was achieved with the aid of some diggers and vibrating compactors and a good deal of work with shovels and rakes.
Other tasks included bestowing a good measure of tlc on various totems and notices along the towpath from Burland to Hurleston.There was also some clearing of undergrowth from the old wharf front.
